A charming vintage oil painting of a small, scruffy white terrier seated beside a red ball, rendered in softly detailed brushwork against a moody green landscape. The sweet, slightly wistful expression gives the portrait a wonderful sense of personality.
The painting is presented in an exceptional layered giltwood frame with carved botanical details, warm gold tones, and a contrasting red-painted inner band. The frame’s aged patina and surface wear add considerably to its character.
The painting is signed “Campi” in the lower right.
