Vintage Japanese Spotted Hunting Dog Figurine with Game Bird

A charming vintage hunting dog figurine depicting a spotted setter or spaniel carrying a colorful game bird. The hand-painted figure features a cream ground with black spots, glossy black ears and tail, sculpted fur detailing, and a dynamic walking pose. The dog and bird rest on a naturalistic, foliage-textured base mounted on a dark wood oval plinth.

The underside is marked “JAPAN” and shows the expected signs of age, including surface discoloration, wear, and minor marks. The original finish and character have been preserved.

A wonderful decorative accent for an English country, traditional, hunting-inspired, or collected interior.
