There's something about the last hour of light in a yard that ran straight into the woods, the hush after the birds quit, when something past the fence line goes still and watches you back.

This little fox has been watching a long time. Maybe from a paneled study where the hunt prints hung. Maybe over a desk, kept company by a green-shaded lamp. Maybe in a house where the lawn gave up at the treeline and everyone slept easier for it.

It doesn't just show a fox. It gives you the pair of eyes that always found you first at the edge of the trees.
