The covered candy dish lived on a side table and held the good candy, the kind grandparents kept, that tasted a little of the cabinet it came from.
This Portuguese one is porcelain, round and domed, hand-painted with pink roses, blue bows, and gold scrollwork, a little ceramic rose for a finial. About 5" across. For candy, or for the small things a dish quietly keeps.

Each piece is vintage or antique and has lived a life before finding its way to Tallmadge Ave; natural signs of age, wear, patina, and imperfections are part of its character and are to be expected. All pieces are sold as-is, and any notable condition issues are described in the product listing. That said, if it arrives damaged or isn't as described, we'll refund you in full, including shipping — since each piece is one of a kind, we can't simply send a replacement. Packed by hand. Every piece is wrapped and boxed by hand, by us, not pulled off a warehouse shelf. Shipping is free. If it arrives damaged, send us a photo within 48 hours and we'll refund you in full. Each piece is one of a kind, so we can't send a replacement, which is exactly why your money back is guaranteed, but please keep in mind that every piece here has lived a life before this one.
