A brass bell by the door is an old habit, you rang it to call people in for dinner, and the sound carried farther than any voice.
This one is mounted on an oak plaque with an anchor and a hand-braided pull rope, the whole thing quietly nautical. Hang it by a door, give the rope a pull now and then, and a house starts to feel like it has a memory.

Each piece is vintage or antique and has lived a life before finding its way to Tallmadge Ave; natural signs of age, wear, patina, and imperfections are part of its character and are to be expected. All pieces are sold as-is, and any notable condition issues are described in the product listing. That said, if it arrives damaged or isn't as described, we'll refund you in full, including shipping — since each piece is one of a kind, we can't simply send a replacement. Packed by hand. Every piece is wrapped and boxed by hand, by us, not pulled off a warehouse shelf. Shipping is free. If it arrives damaged, send us a photo within 48 hours and we'll refund you in full. Each piece is one of a kind, so we can't send a replacement, which is exactly why your money back is guaranteed, but please keep in mind that every piece here has lived a life before this one. We sell it as-is, wear included.
