Pat McCarthy Hydrangea Watercolor in Raspberry Jasperware Urn — Gilt Framed

A signed original watercolor by Pat McCarthy: a full head of pale hydrangeas spilling from a raspberry-pink jasperware urn, its white neoclassical figures caught mid-procession around the bowl. The kind of small, careful painting that used to hang in a front hall or above a writing desk, the sort of thing someone chose once and never had reason to move.

Set in an antique gilt frame with a beaded inner edge and a linen mat, the gold gone soft and honeyed with age. The pink of the urn does all the work here, warm against the cool greens and creams of the flowers.
