Pair of Horse Bookends, Onyx and Painted White Metal, 5.5"

Two horses standing square on blocks of pale onyx, each turning its head a little toward the other. Dark bronze-toned metal, a carved mane and tail, and a band of rust-colored veining running through the stone under their feet.

This pair has held a shelf together before. Maybe a row of riding books in a study. Maybe the cookbooks on a kitchen counter. Maybe the photo albums in a house where the horse show was the week everything stopped.

It doesn't just hold books up. It makes a shelf look like it belongs to someone who rides.

Pair of Horse Bookends, painted white metal horses on onyx bases. Each 5.5" tall x 5" wide. Sold as a pair. Paint wear to the horses showing the silver metal beneath in spots, and a small chip on one corner of one onyx base, shown in the photos.

For the house in horse country, and the shelf that needs two good ends. #followthefeeling @tallmadge_ave_vintage
