Pair of 1960s Paint-by-Number Horse Paintings

Some houses had horses on the wall of a boy's room, the kind you named before you'd ever sat on one.

This pair of colts has stood together a long time. Maybe over a bed with a cowboy blanket. Maybe in a den where somebody's father kept the good chair. Maybe in a house where a kid filled these in one number at a time, tongue between his teeth, and someone thought enough of it to frame them.

They don't just decorate a wall. They keep two young things standing where a kid once wished he could ride.
