Cast Metal Sailboat Weathervane on Wood Base, Black, 12" x 24"

A sloop under full sail, pennant flying from the masthead, riding on top of a long arrow with a feathered tail. Below it, the four compass letters on crossed arms, all cast in black metal with a hammered texture, mounted on a stained wood block so it stands on a shelf instead of a roof.

This one has pointed into the wind before. Maybe on a boathouse roof. Maybe on a garage at the shore. Maybe it came down off the roof when the house was sold and somebody couldn't bear to leave it behind.

It doesn't just sit on a shelf. It brings the waterfront into whatever room it's in.

Sailboat weathervane, black cast metal with compass directionals, mounted on a wood base. About 12" x 24". Paint wear and small chips, most visible on the upright post, consistent with age.

For the den, the lake house, or the sailor who has everything. #followthefeeling @tallmadge_ave_vintage
