A charming vintage oval tray featuring a dramatic black lacquered ground and a beautifully stylized winter sleigh scene. The central hand-painted design depicts a horse-drawn sleigh carrying two bundled figures through a snowy landscape, with evergreen trees, a small cabin, bare trees, snowflakes, and delicate gold decorative details throughout.
The tray has a raised rim with fine gold-line detailing and a wonderfully aged, slightly worn finish. Surface wear, scratches, scuffs, small chips, and areas of finish loss are visible throughout, adding to its vintage character and patina.
