Rooster and Hen Figurines, Hand-Painted Ceramic, Japan, Pair, 2.5"

A rooster standing tall and a hen with her head down, finding something worth pecking at. Two tiny ceramic birds, hand-painted in black, green and red on little green grassy bases, each stamped JAPAN underneath.

This pair has kept a kitchen company before. Maybe on the sill over the sink. Maybe at the back of a shelf next to the salt box. Maybe on a dresser in a child's room, moved around a lot.

It doesn't just sit there. It turns a windowsill into a barnyard, at two and a half inches.

Rooster and Hen Figurines, hand-painted ceramic, stamped Japan. About 2.5" tall. Sold as a pair. Paint wear and small losses throughout, consistent with age.

For the kitchen that always had a rooster in it somewhere. #followthefeeling @tallmadge_ave_vintage
