ONE OF A KIND
A unique vintage piece. Once it finds a home, this exact object will not be available again.

Anyone who has worked a field knows the rest you take standing up. You don’t sit down, because getting up again is the hard part. You lean on whatever you’re holding and let the basket wait.

She has stopped like that before. Maybe at the end of a row, with half the day still ahead. Maybe on the walk home, the basket full and the light going. Maybe just long enough to look at something nobody else in the field had noticed.

It doesn’t just show a woman in a field. It shows the minute she kept for herself.

Woman with a Basket, Original Oil on Shaped Florentine Board. Signed lower right, P. McCarthy. Cream ground, Greek key borders, gilt rosettes, gilt edge. 11" x 7".

For the kitchen wall in a house where someone still keeps a garden. #followthefeeling @tallmadge_ave_vintage
