Pair of Reading Boy Bookends, Bronze-Tone Metal, 7"

Two barefoot boys sitting on rocks with a book open on their knees, chin in hand, completely gone into whatever they're reading. Back to back, they hold a row of books between them. Bronze-tone finish with gold highlights where the light catches the curls and shirt folds.

This pair has guarded a shelf before. Maybe in a child's room, between the picture books. Maybe in a study, holding up the books someone meant to reread. Maybe in a schoolteacher's classroom for thirty years.

It doesn't just hold up books. It reminds you why you kept them.

Pair of Reading Boy Bookends, bronze-tone cast metal with felt-lined bases. Each 7" tall. Sold as a pair. Finish wear on the high spots, consistent with age.

For the reader in the house, at any age. #followthefeeling @tallmadge_ave_vintage

Each piece is vintage or antique and has lived a life before finding its way to Tallmadge Ave; natural signs of age, wear, patina, and imperfections are part of its character and are to be expected. All pieces are sold as-is, and any notable condition issues are described in the product listing. That said, if it arrives damaged or isn't as described, we'll refund you in full, including shipping — since each piece is one of a kind, we can't simply send a replacement. Otherwise, returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Questions any time at christine@tallmadgeave.com — we're a two-person shop, and we answer.
