Framed Needlepoint, Colonial Room with Boy and Dog, 12" x 23"

A whole room stitched in wool on a mustard-gold ground: a boy in a red vest sits in a ladder-back chair while a golden dog puts a paw on his knee. Behind them, a shuttered window, a table with flowers and a model ship, a stone fireplace with the fire going, and a tall clock in the corner.

This one has hung somewhere before. Maybe in a son's room. Maybe in the den, over the chair where the dog always slept. Maybe in a front hall where everyone stopped to find the dog.

It doesn't just fill a wall. It makes the room feel lived in.

Framed needlepoint, wool on canvas, colonial interior with boy and dog. 12" x 23" in a dark wood frame with a gold outer lip. Framer's label on the back reading William Haines, Toronto. Wear to the gold edge of the frame, and the paper backing is torn in several places, shown in the photos.

For the mudroom, the den, or anyone whose dog has a paw on their knee right now. #followthefeeling @tallmadge_ave_vintage
