Winter Farm Oil Painting, Children with Christmas Tree, Signed H. Ames, 22" x 18"

Two kids in yellow and red coats drag a fresh-cut Christmas tree across the snow toward home. Ahead of them, a pale yellow farmhouse with smoke curling from the chimney, a red barn behind a big bare tree, a split-rail fence, and a dark stand of pines.

This painting has hung somewhere before. Maybe in a farmhouse kitchen every December. Maybe in a front hall where it went up the day after Thanksgiving. Maybe in a living room year round, because snow on a red barn never really goes out of season.

It doesn't just fill a wall. It makes the whole house feel like the holidays are on the way.

Original oil painting of a winter farm scene with children carrying a Christmas tree, signed "H. Ames" lower right. 22" x 18" in a wide oak-grain frame. Wear and scuffs to the frame finish, including a worn spot on the back edge, shown in the photos.

For the front hall, the guest room, or the house that decorates early. #followthefeeling @tallmadge_ave_vintage
