Vintage "New London Light from the Northeast" Cyanotype Print

There's a particular blue that only shows up at the end of a day on the water — sails gone pale against it, everything on shore small and far away.

This print has held that blue a long time. Maybe it hung in a front hall that faced the harbor. Maybe over a guest room bed in a house where everyone was there for the regatta. Maybe in a study where the owner could look up from the desk and see the exact light this was painted in.

It doesn't just show the lighthouse. It holds the hour when the boats were still out and everyone on shore was watching for them.
