Antique English Setter Head Study Print, Framed with Brass Corners

In a certain kind of house the hallway isn't a gallery, it's just where the dogs go. Not the family's actual dogs. The painted ones.

This one's earned its spot. A setter's head, turned in profile, ears feathered, coat freckled rust on white, rendered with more patience than most human portraits get. Maybe it hung over a desk in a study. Maybe it was bought for a dog nobody in the house had ever met, just because it looked like theirs. Maybe it's outlived three different dogs already, quietly standing in for all of them.

It doesn't just fill a wall. It gives a house its resident dog, permanently, without the vet bills.
