A small original oil, painted in the round: a gray-and-white spotted rabbit at rest in a summer landscape, nibbling greens with a lake and rolling hills behind him. Soft sky, warm earth, loose confident brushwork. Signed P. McCarthy in the lower right, a naturalistic companion to her chinoiserie rabbits.

Set in a round gold frame, ready to hang or to display on a small easel. No provenance on the artist, and we like it that way, a personal little painting made to be loved by somebody.
