A 12" x 10" original painting by Pat McCarthy, and a quieter one: a white rabbit lying stretched out and content, a green majolica heart dish rising behind it with a little wrapped present set inside. The heart has that beaded white edge and soft green glaze of old majolica, and the rabbit's fur is worked up in loose, downy strokes.
Framed in an ornate gold frame with a green and cream double mat that picks up the majolica. Signed P. McCarthy. One of a kind.
